Archery Exercises - Prone Holds

Key Points

1. Set up the bench and bar so that you can put your legs under the bar and position the top of your hips against the edge of the bench. You can see this demonstrated in the figure above. The bar height should let you keep your body and legs in a straight line.

2. Lift your body up by using the bar to support your legs. You should keep your back as flat as possible and not arch your back. Keep your neck and legs straight.
