Today will be the first episode of my new weekly ‘5 quick tips’ emails. Every Friday I’ll be sharing 5 actionable tips you can use to improve your shooting.
Feel free to forward this to your archery friends.
The best fletch for most conditions are 1 3/4″ SpinWings, slightly angled when you stick them on. I avoid the black colour as these can be more brittle and tear more easily. If it’s very windy P3 Elivanes can have slightly less wind drift, but the SpinWings are still the top choice.
Why SpinWings? I know of multiple international archers and teams who’ve done extended testing with all the different vanes, taking data over weeks and weeks, with a huge amount of arrows shot. They found SpinWings grouped best.
The Set Position is one of the most important parts of the shot, as it dictates a lot of what you can do later on. But I see a lot of archers rushing their set position. This week, just try spending an extra 1-2 seconds making sure you’ve got your bow hand position and draw hand hook consistently placed.
