Archery Drills - Stance Stability Drill

Stance stability is key to your shot and this drill is very challenging for most people. We only recommend this drill for advanced archers, as it is more disruptive to beginners than it is useful.

Key Points

1.You can do this stability drill by taking your stance on the cushions shown in the figure above. You could do it on a mini trampoline, a bosu ball, there are many options.

2.You want something which is unstable but doesn’t disrupt your shot completely.

3.Make sure that you are able to shoot safely when doing this drill!

Notes:

The aim is to maintain proper technique whilst doing this drill, it is important to understand the recurve shot and have good technique to do this.
